Easeby

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Pixoby ("Pixoby", "we", "us") handles information when you use Easeby, our journaling app for iOS and Android (the "App"), and this website, easeby-landing.web.app (the "Website").

In short: what you write stays on your device. You do not need an account, the App shows no ads, and we never sell your data or use it to train AI models.

1. What stays on your device

Your notes, the feelings you name, your intensity ratings, your practice answers, your look-backs and your conversations with Easeby AI are stored only on your device, in the App's local database. We never receive them, except for the Easeby AI requests described in section 3.

If you have turned on your device's own backup (iCloud on iPhone and iPad, Google backup on Android), this data is included in that backup. That backup is run by Apple or Google under their own terms and settings, not by us, and we cannot read it.

2. Anonymous ID

On first launch, the App creates a random anonymous account on Easeby's server. It has no name, no email address and no password. We use it for two things only: to link your subscription to your device, and to apply the daily limit for Easeby AI.

3. Easeby AI (optional, part of Easeby Plus)

Easeby AI is optional. Before you use it for the first time, the App shows a consent screen that explains what is sent.

When you tap Reflect on a note, the App sends the text of that one note (and your answers, if the note is a practice) together with the messages in that conversation, over an encrypted HTTPS connection, to Easeby's server, which runs on DigitalOcean in the United States. Our server passes the request to OpenRouter, which routes it to an AI model provider, currently Google Gemini, with OpenAI as a fallback. Prompt logging and training on your text are excluded where the provider supports it.

Easeby's server does not store the text of your note or conversation and does not log it. It keeps only a daily count of reflections per anonymous ID, to apply the daily limit.

Before anything is sent, the App checks the text on your device for words about suicide or self-harm. If it finds them, it does not send the text and shows crisis helplines instead.

4. Usage analytics

The App uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how features are used. It records usage events, such as screens opened, features used (for example, that a note was saved) and purchases, together with the app instance ID, device model, operating system, language and approximate country. It never receives the text of your notes, the feelings you name or your intensity ratings.

5. Crash reports

When the App crashes or runs into an error, it sends a report to GlitchTip, an error tracker that uses the Sentry protocol. A report contains technical details about the error, information about your device and the App, and your anonymous ID. Request bodies are removed from these reports.

6. Purchases

Subscriptions are managed through RevenueCat, which processes your subscription status and purchase history together with your anonymous ID and the device identifiers needed for purchases. Payment itself is handled by Apple or Google. We never see your payment card details.

7. Install attribution

Easeby does not include any advertising or install-attribution SDK. It never asks for tracking permission, does not use the advertising identifier and does not track you across other companies' apps and websites. If this changes in a future version, this policy will be updated before that version is released.

8. Notifications

Daily reminders and look-back reminders are scheduled locally on your device. They never contain the text of your notes.

9. What we do not do

  • We do not show ads.
  • We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising.
  • We do not use your data to train AI models.
  • We do not ask for your name, email address, contacts or location.

10. This website

The Website sets no cookies and runs no analytics. It remembers your light or dark theme choice in your browser's local storage. It is hosted on Firebase Hosting (Google), which processes your IP address to deliver the pages.

11. Deleting your data

In the App, go to You > Delete all data. This erases everything stored on your device and deletes your anonymous account on our server, together with its subscription record and AI reflection counts. Uninstalling the App also removes the data stored on your device.

A copy in your device's own iCloud or Google backup is controlled by Apple or Google, and you can delete it in your device settings.

Deleting your data does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings.

12. How long we keep data

We keep your anonymous account, its subscription record and its daily AI reflection counts until you delete all data in the App. Our analytics, crash reporting and purchase providers keep the data they receive under their own retention settings.

13. Legal bases (EEA and UK)

Where the GDPR or a similar law applies, we process information to provide the App you asked for (performance of a contract), to keep it working and secure and to understand how it is used (legitimate interests), and with your consent where it is required, such as for Easeby AI. You can withdraw your consent at any time by no longer using Easeby AI.

14. International transfers

Our server is in the United States, and our service providers may process data in other countries. Where the law requires it, these transfers rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

15. Children

Easeby is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has used the App, contact us and we will delete any related data we hold.

16. Your rights

Depending on where you live, for example under the GDPR in the EEA and UK or the CCPA in California, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict some processing. Most of your data never leaves your device, so you control it directly in the App. For anything we hold, such as your anonymous account, email us at info@pixoby.space. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.

We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

17. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will also tell you in the App.
