The feeling eased
How it works
Three small steps. A few minutes on a hard day, and a moment to look back later.
- 1
Write it down
On a hard day, write a few lines about what happened and name the feeling.
- 2
Rate how strong it feels
Mark how intense the feeling is right now, from 0 to 100%.
- 3
Look back later
Pick 1, 3 or 7 days. Easeby brings the note back, you rate it again, and you see the before and after, like 80% to 35%.
Six Perspectives practices
Short guided exercises inspired by CBT and ACT. Each one takes a few minutes and helps you look at a hard moment from another angle.
Facts vs Stories
Separate what actually happened from the story your mind is telling about it.
Check the Evidence
Weigh what supports a worried thought and what does not.
Name the Thinking Trap
Spot common patterns, like expecting the worst or guessing what others think, and call them by name.
You Are Not Your Thoughts
Notice a thought as a thought, and give yourself a little room around it.
What Would You Tell a Friend
Answer yourself the way you would answer someone you care about.
Worst, Best, Most Likely
Picture the worst case, the best case, and what is most likely to happen.
Everything else, kept simple
The small things that make a journal easy to come back to.
Journey
Your streak, your week at a glance, and what eased.
Reminders
A daily reminder to write, and a nudge when a look-back is ready.

Questions
Is Easeby therapy?
No. Easeby is a private journal with short self-reflection practices inspired by CBT and ACT. It is not therapy, not a medical service, and it does not diagnose or treat anything. If you are struggling, please talk to a qualified professional, and if you are in danger, call your local emergency number.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up, no email and no password. Open the app and start writing.
Where are my notes stored?
Only on your device, in the app's local database. If you have your device's iCloud or Google backup turned on, they are included in that backup. We never receive them, unless you choose to reflect on a note with Easeby AI.
How does a look-back work?
When you save a note, you pick 1, 3 or 7 days. When the time comes, Easeby reminds you, shows you the note again and asks how strong the feeling is now. You see both numbers side by side, for example 80% then and 35% now.
What is free?
Writing, look-backs, all 6 practices, reminders, app lock, export and crisis resources are free forever, with no ads.
What does Easeby Plus add?
Easeby Plus lets you reflect on a note with Easeby AI, see your full history in Journey beyond 30 days, and see insights like your most-named feelings, your most-spotted thinking traps and your average ease by feeling. It is a monthly or yearly subscription, and the yearly plan starts with a 7-day free trial where eligible.
What happens when I use Easeby AI?
Only the note you choose (and your practice answers, if it is a practice) and that conversation are sent to our server and on to an AI model provider. Our server does not store or log the text. Before anything is sent, the app checks for words about suicide or self-harm and shows crisis helplines instead.
What if I am in crisis?
Easeby is not for emergencies. If you are in danger, call your local emergency number now. The app shows crisis helplines for your country, and you can find more at findahelpline.com.
Can I export or delete my notes?
Yes. You can export your notes as text or JSON at any time. You > Delete all data erases everything on your device and deletes your anonymous account on our server.
Which phones and languages does it support?
Easeby runs on iPhone and Android, in 42 languages, with light and dark themes.
